Nyxta Hostels – Rules & Regulations

1. Eligibility & Check-in

Guests must present a valid government-approved photo identification (such as Aadhaar, Voter ID, or Passport) at the time of check-in.

2. Rent Payment

* Rent payments must be made exclusively to the hostel's official account via mobile payment or bank transfer. A proper invoice will be provided for each transaction.

* Payments made to the personal accounts of wardens or staff will not be recognized by the hostel management, and the management will not be held responsible for such transactions.

* Ensure to obtain a valid receipt for every rent payment.

* A late fee of ₹100 per day will be charged for rent payments delayed by more than two days past the due date.

3. Entry Restrictions & Timings

* Entry to and exit from the hostel premises after 11:30 PM will be restricted as per hostel policy.

* Unauthorized visitors, including friends or colleagues, are not permitted to enter the hostel premises or visit residents without prior written permission from the management.

4. Code of Conduct

* Consumption of alcohol, smoking, and the use of illegal drugs are strictly prohibited. Violators will face legal action.

* Any behavior causing disturbance to neighbors or residential associations, or disrupting the hostel's operations, will result in immediate eviction without prior notice or refund.

* Residents are permitted to use only their allocated bed and locker.

5. Cleanliness & Waste Disposal

* Food waste, plastic waste, and sanitary items must be disposed of only in the designated bins as instructed.

* If sanitary pads or other waste block the bathroom drains, the residents of the responsible room will be fined.

6. Self-Cooking Policy

* Self-cooking is permitted only if an additional gas usage fee has been paid.

* Cooking for others is strictly prohibited. Violators identified through CCTV or staff reports will be fined.

7. Electrical Appliances Policy

* Water kettles and induction cookers are not permitted for use within the hostel.

* Iron boxes and hair straighteners may only be used after paying the prescribed fee.

* Violation of this policy will result in a fine, and the appliance will be confiscated.

8. Online Deliveries

* Ordering or receiving online food deliveries after the curfew time (11:30 PM) is strictly prohibited.

9. Hostel Property

* Residents must not cause damage to hostel property (e.g., furniture, fans, lights, plumbing fixtures).

* In the event of any damage, the full cost of repairs or replacement will be recovered from the responsible residents

10. Safety & Responsibility

* CCTV surveillance is in place for the safety and security of all residents.

* The hostel will not be responsible for any loss of cash, jewelry, electronic devices, or other valuable items misplaced within the rooms.

11. Vacating & Refunds

* A one-week prior notice is required before vacating the hostel.

* The registration fee is non-refundable.
 * If a resident vacates the hostel before the end of their paid rental period, no refund will be issued for the remaining days.

12. Policy Changes

* The management reserves the right to amend these rules and regulations at any time without prior notice.

Your stay at NYXTA Hostel signifies your full understanding and acceptance of the available facilities and their inherent limitations. As a communal living space with diverse residents, the responsibility for the security and safeguarding of your valuable possessions, including but not limited to jewelry, cash, and personal belongings, rests solely with you. We urge all residents to exercise extreme caution in protecting their valuables.

Responsibility for Lost Items:
In the event of lost or misplaced personal items as mentioned above, neither the warden nor the hostel owner shall be held responsible. The complete responsibility for the security of residents' valuable belongings lies entirely with the individual resident.

Investigation Procedures:
Should any instance of theft or similar untoward incidents be reported, a thorough investigation will be conducted in the presence of the wardens and the hostel owner. This procedure is implemented to ensure the safety and transparency within the hostel premises.
